Dear Parent, This book was created to help your child build real, lasting confidence not through lectures, but through small, everyday actions. Each page introduces a simple idea about confidence followed by a fun challenge your child can try that same day. Some challenges are quiet and personal, others involve friends, cousins, or even a teacher. Here's how you can help the most: • After each challenge, ask your child how it felt ,there are no wrong answers. • Celebrate the attempt, not just the outcome. Trying is the real win. • If a challenge feels too hard one day, that's okay they can always come back to it later. • Be honest and encouraging when you fill in Topic 5 (the "What Others See In Me" activity) your words matter more than you know. Confidence isn't built in one day. It's built one small, brave choice at a time. Thank you for being part of your child's journeyA Note for ParentsWith love, Laiba Mumtaz Ahmad Badani 4

Confidence means believing in yourself trusting that you can try new things, make mistakes, and still be amazing. Confidence looks like a lot of things: • Standing on a stage, facing a crowd, and speaking anyway • Raising your hand even when you're not 100% sure • Saying hello to someone new • Sharing your drawing, even if it's not "perfect" • Trying something for the first time, even if you might fall Think of confidence like a muscle. You can't get strong by just thinking about exercise you have to practice! Every challenge in this book is like a small workout for your confidence muscle. The more you practice, the stronger it gets. What is Confidence?10

Meet Zara. On her first day at a new school, she felt very shy and sat quietly. At lunchtime, a girl named Aiza smiled and said, "Hi! Can I sit with you?" Zara felt so happy just one small "hi" made her whole day better! A simple hello can make someone's day and make YOU feel braver too. Topic 1The Greeting Hero hi She is so sweet 11

Your Challenge Today:Before saying hello, how brave did you feel? 😟 — — — — 😊 After saying hello, how brave do you feel now? 😟 — — — — 😊Did you know? Your body makes special "happy chemicals" (like endorphins) when you smile, the same chemicals that make you feel good after exercising or eating your favorite food!Smile and say "Hello" to 5 people today at home, school, or on the way. 12

Zoya used to come home from school quiet and tired every day, but she never told anyone why. Some kids in her class had been leaving her out of games and whispering about her. One evening, her mom noticed she seemed sad and gently asked, "Is everything okay at school?" Zoya finally shared everything that had been happening. Her mom hugged her and said, "I'm so glad you told me we'll figure this out together." The next day, Zoya felt lighter than she had in weeks. Carrying a hard feeling all by yourself is heavy. Sharing it with someone who loves you makes it lighter and they can actually help.Topic 2My Voice, My StrengthI'm always here for youI feel so much better now 13

Your Challenge Today:Tell an adult one thing you like or don't like today. Before speaking up, how brave did you feel? 😟 — — — — 😊 After speaking up, how brave do you feel now? 😟 — — — — 😊Did you know? Asking for help doesn't mean you're weak even superheroes and Olympic athletes have coaches and teammates who help them get stronger! 14

Michael Jordan is known as one of the greatest basketball players ever. But did you know that as a teenager, he was actually cut from his high school basketball team? Instead of giving up, he practiced harder every single day and years later, he became a legend. Even the most successful people once failed, got rejected, or made mistakes. What made them successful wasn't never failing it was actually never giving up.Topic 3Mistakes Are OkayOne 'no' won't stop me.15

Your Challenge Today:Pick something you're not good at yet like catching a ball, whistling, or balancin on one foot. Try it 5 times in a row. What did you try? _______________Did it get any easier by try #5? Yes / NoDid you know? J.K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter, had her book rejected by publishers about 12 times before one finally said yes. Today, Harry Potter is one of the best-selling book series in the world! 16

Simone Biles is one of the greatest gymnasts in the world. To become that good, she had to attempt brand-new, difficult moves that no one had ever tried before — moves that were scary and could easily go wrong in front of huge crowds. She didn't get every new skill perfect on the first try. She kept practicing new, hard things anyway — that's exactly how she became amazing.Topic 4Try Something New17

Your Challenge Today:Try something you've never done before today! Here are some ideas: • learn to juggle the balls(best exercise for brain) • Draw a picture with your eyes closed • Learn a new languageI tried: _______________ Before trying, how brave did you feel? 😟 — — — — 😊 After trying, how brave do you feel now? 😟 — — — — 😊Did you know? Simone Biles has moves named after HER in gymnastics because she was the first person in the world brave enough to try them! Every "first try" someone takes could become something amazing. 18

Sometimes it's hard to see our own good qualities but the people who know us best can see them clearly! Today, you're going to find out what your friends and family really think of you. Here are some "Confidence Words": BRAVE • KIND • HONEST • CURIOUS • FUNNY • CREATIVE • PATIENT • STRONG • CARING • CONFIDENT • GENEROUS • SMART • LOYAL • FRIENDLY • RESPECTFUlTopic 5What Others See In Mei wonder what they'll say...This sounds like a fun game!19

Your Challenge Today:Ask at least 4 people (friends, family, even a teacher) to look at the list on Page A and Write the words THEY think describe you best. Use the boxes below — one row per person.Did you know? Scientists call this the "Johari Window" it's the idea that other people can sometimes see good things about us that we don't even notice in ourselves!Look at everyone's answers. Did anything come up more than once? Write down 3 words or things that were repeated or that surprised you: 1. ___________ 2. ___________ 3. ___________Do you think these things are true about you? __________________ __________________________ Person 2 Name: _______________ 1. _______________ 2. _______________ 3. _______________ Person 3 Name: ______________ 1. _______________ 2. _______________ 3. _______________ Person 1 Name: ______________ 1. _______________ 2. _______________ 3. _______________ 20

Topic 6Welcome a New FriendThink about how it feels to be the "new kid" somewhere — new school, new class, new neighborhood. It can feel lonely and scary, even for just one day. A small act of kindness from someone can make that whole day feel completely different. Bilal once noticed a new kid, Danish, sitting alone at recess. He felt a little nervous, but he walked over and said, "Do you want to play with us?" Danish's face lit up immediately — and Bilal made a new friend just by being the one to say hello first. He looks a little lonely.. I should say hi. Wow, thanks! You made my day so much better 21

Your Challenge Today:If a new student joins your class, bring them a small treat (like a chocolate) the next day and say, "Welcome to our class!" . If there's no new student right now, keep this page ready the next time someone new joins your class, school, or neighborhood, come back and do this challenge. For today, you can also just introduce yourself to someone you don't know well yet.Who did you welcome (or plan to welcome)? _______________ What did you say or give them? ________________________ Before welcoming them, how brave did you feel? 😟 — — — — 😊 After welcoming them, how brave do you feel now? 😟 — — — — 😊Did you know? It only takes about 7 seconds for someone to decide if they feel welcome in a new place which means your smile and "hello" in those first few seconds matter more than almost anything else you could do! 22

Malala Yousafzai was a young girl from Pakistan who believed every child deserves to go to school. Even though speaking up was dangerous and scary, she kept telling the world how important education was. Her courage to speak up made a huge difference around the world, and she became the youngest person ever to win the Nobel Peace Prize. Speaking up about something you believe in even when it's scary can matter more than you realize.Topic 7Raise Your HandIf not me, then who?23

Your Challenge Today:Do ONE of these today: raise your hand to ask or answer a question in class, OR ask someone for help with something you find tricky.Did you know? Many famous inventors and scientists were known for asking "silly" questions that others were too shy to ask those questions often led to their biggest discoveries!Which one did you try? _______________ What did you ask? _______________ Before raising your hand, how brave did you feel? 😟 — — — — 😊 After raising your hand, how brave do you feel now? 😟 — — — — 😊 24

Topic 8Teach Someone SomethingOmar was really good at solving a tricky puzzle cube. His cousin asked him to show her how. Omar explained it step by step and by the end, she could solve part of it too. Omar felt like a genius! Teaching someone shows you just how much you've actually learned.Wow, you're really good at this! Thanks! I didn't knowI was good at explaining until now.25

Your Challenge Today:Teach a family member or friend something you're good at it could be a game, a skill, a fact, or even a trick. What did you teach? _______________ Who did you teach? _______________ Before teaching, how brave did you feel? 😟 — — — — 😊 After teaching, how brave do you feel now? 😟 — — — — 😊Did you know? Scientists have found that people remember only about 10% of what they read, but nearly 90% of what they teach to someone else! 26

Topic 9Pick the Confident ChoiceScenario: Your friend asks you to do something that makes you uncomfortable. What's the confident thing to do? A) Do it anyway so they don't get upset B) Say something like "Sorry, I can't do this" or "I'm not comfortable with that" politely and calmly C) Avoid them for the rest of the day (Answer: B — saying no calmly, when something feels wrong, is a sign of real confidence, not rudeness!)sorry I can't do thisOh, okay no worries! 27

Your Challenge Today:If a friend OR someone you don't know well asks you to do something you're not comfortable with, say: "Sorry, I can't do this" or "No, thank you."What did you say? _______________ Before trying, how brave did you feel? 😟 — — — — 😊 After trying, how brave do you feel now? 😟 — — — — 😊Did you know? A true friend will always understand when you say "no." If they get upset about it, that's THEIR problem, not yours! 28

Topic 10Do It YourselfHamza was the only kid in his class who still needed help tying his shoelaces. Every morning, his older sister did it for him in two seconds easy, fast, done. But one day, she was running late and said, "You'll have to try it yourself today!" Hamza's fingers fumbled, the laces got tangled twice, and it took him almost 5 minutes... but when he finally got it right, he ran to show his sister, laces perfectly tied, grinning ear to ear. He never asked her to tie them again. Sometimes we don't try things ourselves simply because someone else always does it for us. But once you try even if it's messy and slow at first you realize you were capable all along.Okay... let's try again29

Your Challenge Today:What did you do? _______________ Before starting, how brave did you feel? 😟 — — — — 😊 After finishing, how brave do you feel now? 😟 — — — — 😊Did you know? Every time you do something on your own even small things...your brain builds a little more trust in yourself. Scientists call this "self-efficacy," and it's one of the biggest building blocks of real confidence!Complete one task today all by yourself, without asking for help. Here are some ideas: Pack your own bag Make your own snack Tidy up your room Get yourself ready for bed 30

Have you ever noticed that things feel less scary when a friend is doing them with you? That's because confidence spreads like a spark jumping from one person to another. When one kid in a group does something brave or silly or fun, it gives everyone else permission to do the same. Suddenly, the shy kid is dancing too, the quiet kid is telling jokes too because one person's courage made room for everyone else's. That's the magic of doing things together. You're never really performing "alone" you're starting a chain reaction.Topic 11Show-Off Squad31

Your Challenge Today:The next time you're hanging out with friends or cousins, share ONE talent: a joke, dance move, magic trick, or fun fact. Bonus points if you get them to share one too!Who were you with? _______________ What did you share? _______________ Before sharing, how brave did you feel? 😟 — — — — 😊 After sharing, how brave do you feel now? 😟 — — — — 😊Did you know? Laughing and having fun with friends releases the same "happy chemicals" in your brain as eating your favorite treat which is part of why group fun feels SO good! 32

Sometimes the best kindness is a surprise no reply needed, no waiting around. Just a small note that makes someone's whole day brighter, from you to them. Imagine finding a little note in your bag that says "You're awesome!" with no name on it wouldn't that make you smile all day, wondering who sent it?Topic 12Secret Kindness NoteAww this made my day.who wrote this ? 33

Your Challenge Today:Write a short, kind note or compliment card for a friend, cousin, classmate or even your mom or dad! Slip it into their bag, or leave it somewhere they'll find it, as a surprise. You don't need a reply the surprise itself is the fun part!Who did you write it for? _______________ What did you write? _______________Did you know? Doing something kind without expecting anything back (not even a "thank you") is one of the purest forms of confidence it means you're not doing it to be noticed, just because it feels right! 34

Haris accidentally broke his sister's toy while playing. His first thought was to hide it and pretend he didn't know what happened. Instead, he took a deep breath and told her, "I broke it by accidently, I'm really sorry." His sister was upset, but she appreciated that he was honest. Admitting a mistake and saying sorry takes real courage but it builds trust, and it feels much better than hiding the truth.Topic 13Own Your MistakeMaybe i can just hide it...35

Your Challenge Today: If you make a mistake today, admit it and say sorry. If nothing happens today, think of a recent mistake you didn't own up to and write what you'd say now if you could go back. What happened? _________________ _____________________________ _____________________________ What did you say (or what would you say now)? ____________________________ _______________ Before admitting it, how brave did you feel? 😟 — — — — 😊 After admitting it, how brave do you feel now? 😟 — — — — 😊Did you know? Some of the most respected leaders and role models in history are remembered not for being perfect, but for how honestly and gracefully they owned up to their mistakes. 36

Giving a compliment out loud right to someone's face takes a little more courage than writing a note. But it also makes the moment feel extra special, because they get to see your smile when you say it! The next time you're with family, at a gathering, or out somewhere, look for something nice to say to someone out loud, right then and there.Topic 14Praise SomeoneYou just made my whole day You look great today 37

Your Challenge Today: The next time you're at a family function or out somewhere, give someone a genuine compliment out loud. For example: "I really love your glasses!" "You look great today!" "you are so smart!"Who did you compliment,____________ and what did you say? __________________ Before saying it, how brave did you feel? 😟 — — — — 😊 After saying it, how brave do you feel now? 😟 — — — — 😊Did you know? People who give compliments are often seen as more likeable and confident by others because it shows you're paying attention and not afraid to speak up! 38

Sara wanted to learn how to jump rope, but every time she tried, the rope got stuck on her feet. She decided to practice for just a little bit every day after school. Some days she got 2 jumps in a row. Some days she tripped right away. But she kept trying a little bit each day. After two weeks, she could jump 20 times in a row without stopping! Big confidence doesn't come all at once. It comes from small tries, again and again. You don't have to be perfect on day one you just haveto keep going. Look how far YOU'VE come through this whole book!Topic 15Set a Goal39

Your Challenge Today: Choose one small goal for this week something you want to get better at or try. Take the first small step today. My goal: _______________ Before starting, how brave did you feel? 😟 — — — — 😊 After taking the first step, how brave do you feel now? 😟 — — — — 😊Did you know? Every challenge in this book helped train your "confidence muscle" just like Sara practicing her jump rope. You've already been building real confidence, one small brave step at a time. Look how strong you've become 40
